She comes from Brescia and she lives in Desio (Milan).

Writer, she is very sensitive to social problems and she attaches a great importance to good examples.

Even if her actions are necessarily limited, she tries to be faithful to the motto she coined herself and which represents the basis of her modus vivendi: "If I do not do harm, one bad action will not be done in the world." Besides the motto, Chiappani Loda believes in her own imperative: "Let us give to our neighbours as much as possible and ask humbly". (From an interview of 1982).

Her life has been complicated and difficult, yet full of important experiences she conveys to her works.

She had been contributing for thirty years to the ecological magazine Pro Natura. She had been a member of a literary prize jury and had participated in radio and television broadcasts. Her poems have been read during numerous public shows; famous writers and critics have presented both her published and her unpublished works.

She has been the recipient of several Italian literary prizes.

Her published works include: a novel, three story collections for children (one of which in collaboration with Alexandre Rodichevski) and two for the grown-ups, a book of memories, a collection of articles about nature, a collection of interviews, a book of plays, a collection of poetry, a CD of music and poetry as well as stories, poems and articles in numerous anthologies, magazines and web sites.
